Prof. Tobias Brosch is Full Professor at the University of Geneva, where he holds the Chair in Psychology of Sustainable Development. His research examines how cognitive, affective, and social processes shape individual and collective decision-making in the context of major societal challenges, with a particular focus on climate change and sustainability. His work combines insights from affective science, behavioural science, and psychology to understand how emotions, values, perceptions, and social processes influence behaviour, public support, and societal transitions.

A central aim of his work is to translate behavioural and affective science into actionable knowledge for policy and institutions. During his residency at the Beyond Lab, he will explore how these perspectives can be more systematically integrated into UN analysis, policy design, organisational practice, and innovation, strengthening the role of human behaviour and emotion in addressing complex global challenges.
